Supported Teaching in Schools (STS)
The Supported Teaching in Schools Unit of the college seeks to provide teachers with a range of practical skills, values and knowledge to deliver high-quality education. In order to achieve the above goals, the college has partnerships with area schools with the dual purpose of meeting various needs of these schools, while providing Wiawso College with sites for practicals, student teaching and internships.
Entry Requirements for Wiawso College of Education
WASSCE Applicants
Credit passes (A1-C6) in 6 subjects, three core subjects and three electives, relevant to the course of study.
SSSCE Applicants
Passes (A-D) in 6 subjects, three core subjects and three electives, relevant to the course of study.
Applicants awaiting WASSCE and NABPTEX results can also apply
GCE Advance Level Applicants
- Passes in 3 subjects; at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better
- Credit passes (grade 6) in 5 GCE Ordinary Level subjects
ABCE/GBCE Applicants
- Passes in 3 subjects; at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better
- Credit passes (grade 6) in 5 GBCE subjects
Technical and Vocational Education and Training Applicants
- Certificate II in 3 relevant trade areas awarded by TEU, NVTI, City & Guilds and any other authorized bodies in addition to NABPTEX certificate II
- NABPTEX Certificate II in relevant trade areas and 3 credit passes in WASSCE/SSSCE Core subjects including English and Math.
- National certificate II in CBT awarded by TEU on the NTVETQF
Foreign Applicants
- Applicants should be referred to the National Accreditation Board for determination of eligibility.
- SAT, TOEFL, etc. cannot be accepted
