The general WASSCE grade requirements for university admission in Ghana are listed below;

What to Do If You Had D7 in One or Two Subjects in WASSCE

What do I do if I have D7 in just one or two subjects in WASSCE? If you had just one or two D7s in your WASSCE results, you could attempt writing NOVDEC as soon as possible to get better grades to replace these subjects and apply for school. If you do not wish to write NOVDEC, you can easily find a Diploma program allowing you to apply with D7.

How to Enter the University without WASSCE Results

Although there are strict entry requirements for applying to the university in Ghana, there are alternative ways to enter without WASSCE results. How do I enter the university without WASSCE results? To enter the university without WASSCE results, you will be required to write an entrance exam. Yes, there is an entrance exam in almost all universities in Ghana. Some schools run twice a year but most major institutions do one every year.

General University Entrance Exam Requirements in Ghana

  1. Applicant must apply for a pre-university program (mostly 6 months to 1 year)
  2. Applicant must attend the pre-university program
  3. Applicant must be at least 25 years old at the time of application
  4. Applicant must pass the entrance exam to enter the university
