We have heard various stories about results upgrading, results changing and more by WAEC workers and so-called people with connections at the WAEC office.
In this post we will look at how WAEC helps you to upgrade or change your results and what you need to do if you got bad grades.
3 Ways you Can Change or Upgrade your WASSCE results
- Resit through NOVDEC
The most popular method of changing WASSCE results used by most people is by rewriting the failed papers again through NOVDEC. The November, December exams by WAEC help students who failed to re-register and work on bettering their grades. - Getting a remark by WAEC
In some cases, it may just be an issue of miscalculation. If you believe your grades are not correct, you can demand a re-mark by WAEC. Although WAEC is a trustworthy examination powerhouse in Africa, handling so much demand, they can make mistakes too. - Going back to school
This is the most hardest for most students and almost no one is interested in going back to school to rewrite their WASSCE exams. But this may be a good way out if you failed in most subjects.

Does WAEC change results?
WAEC help students who want to change their results achieve that by allowing them re-sit their failed subjects to write again and hopefully pass.
No. There is nothing like results upgrade. Be wary of fraudsters who promise to change candidates’ results for a fee. These are scammers who only want to swindle people. It is illegal to engage with such fraudsters. Be mindful that universities and other institutions verify from WAEC results presented to them by candidates. – WAEC Ghana
