Why has WAEC delayed in releasing the 2021 BECE?

Although it is not officially confirmed, the Computerised School Selection and Placement process could be the reason why the 2021 BECE results is still not published.

There are various steps being taken by GES to make sure candidates get posted to their respective choices of schools.

Between 15th and 22nd oof February 2022, GES allowed candidates to recheck their school placement options to confirm if everything is exactly as they computed. They went further to allow candidates to request additional help if there was an issue with their placement.

We believe GES is working closely with WAEC and because of all these other delays, the results publishing has also been delayed.

Also, there could be an issue of delay in marking and grading of the examination.

Summary

The 2021 BECE results will be published soon by WAEC. This delay can be justified and will not have effect on the Computerised School Selection and Placement System.
